Product Description The first part of Lighting Your Home Inside and Out will tell readers everything they need to know to design lighting for their home. Rather than live with an odd collection of lamps and fixtures, readers will learn how to create lighting schemes for every room as well as their yard. You will learn how to select lamps, fixtures, and bulbs that will work together to create safe, useful lighting that complements their furnishings, creates the mood they want, and increases the value of their home. Equipped with their lighting schemes, readers are prepared for the second section of Lighting Your Home Inside and Out. Here, they will find large full-color diagrams and foolproof step-by-step directions for bringing their lighting plans to life. Readers will learn to run electrical cable, install fixtures and switches, and even how to rewire that great old lamp they found at a flea market.

| Customer Reviews: Lighting Your Home Inside and Out June 26, 2000 3 out of 12 found this review helpful
The book presents an easy way to chose the exact light fixture for every room. In addition, the book illustrates the concept with figures and photos.
Some useful concepts, but a bit dated April 18, 2002 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
The book contained a good overview of lighting concepts. However, more specifics such as wattages and distances would have been more practical. Also, the pictues and many of the examples were a bit dated -- all the oversized track lights seemed to be from the 70s.
